GREEN TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) - Six people face charges stemming from a home invasion in northern New Jersey that also led to the arrest of the homeowner on drug counts.
State police say the home invasion occurred Dec. 28 in Green Township. The suspects - four men and two women - face various charges, including kidnapping, theft and weapons offenses.
Authorities say a woman who lived at the home was tied up and threatened during the incident, and her head was covered with a bed sheet.
When state police responded to the home, they allegedly saw marijuana in plain view. After obtaining a search warrant, troopers also found marijuana, cocaine, $12,000 in cash and drug paraphernalia.
Those discoveries led to drug distribution and possession charges being filed against a 68-year-old man who owns the home.
