HILLSBORO, Ore. (AP) - A 60-year-old man has been found guilty of putting a tiny, motion-activated camera in a Starbucks bathroom last year.
The Oregonian reports (https://bit.ly/1kJeKwR) the device was disguised as an AC power adapter. An employee found it three weeks after it was placed in the unisex bathroom. Police said Richard E. Ipsen of Tualatin surrendered a month later.
Court documents identify four victims.
The verdict came Tuesday. Ipsen is to be sentenced April 2 on the invasion of privacy charges.
In Deschutes County, he’s pleaded not guilty to accusations he secretly recorded people in the bathroom of a home he owns in Bend. He faces nearly three dozen counts.
