TACOMA, Wash. (AP) - The Pierce County prosecutor says a deputy was justified in fatally shooting a suspect last August at a Buckley motel.

Prosecutor Mark Lindquist says 28-year-old Justin Michael Linn had a violent history and posed a serious danger. He was accused of shooting a homeowner during a residential burglary in July.

When deputies tried to arrest him at the motel they say he ran. He was shot by a deputy who believed Linn was pulling a handgun from his waistband. Linn was not armed, although a handgun was found in his motel room.
