ATLANTA (AP) - Emergency responders are scheduled to participate in a training session focused on best practices in emergencies involving people with developmental disabilities.
The training session Wednesday morning is being held at the Atlanta VA Medical Center and is being conducted by All About Developmental Disabilities - a support organization for the developmentally disabled and their families.
Organizers say the training session is expected to teach emergency responders how to best deal with the developmentally disabled during an crisis situation or during an emergency phone call.
