Woman dies in jump from moving truck on I-82

ZILLAH, Wash. (AP) - A Goldendale woman was killed when she left a moving pickup truck Monday evening on Interstate 82 west of Zillah.

The Washington State Patrol says the truck was going 40-to-50 mph and attempting to pull over to the shoulder when rear passenger got out. Forty-four-year-old Stephanie R. Lesko was taken to Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital where she died.

The patrol says the cause of the incident is under investigation but drugs or alcohol were involved.
