PHOENIX (AP) - The Phoenix Fire Department says a hiker stuck in a perilous position on the south side of Camelback Mountain rescued Tuesday morning.

The Fire Department says rescue personnel were able to reach the unidentified man by using a rope system and then help him return to the trail.

The man was uninjured, and the Fire Department says he went home on his own.
