MOUNTAIN TOP, Pa. (AP) - Investigators are trying to determine what caused a massive fire that gutted a landmark northeastern Pennsylvania restaurant.

Firefighters from three counties battled the blaze late Monday night at Damenti’s, a popular restaurant in Butler Township, Luzerne County, that has operated for 60 years and was known for hosting ice sculptures in the winter.

Valley Regional Fire Chief Rich Bognar said the blaze started in the back of the building in the kitchen area. No one was injured.
