Body in ditch identified as missing man

BARNHART, Mo. (AP) - A body found in an eastern Missouri ditch has been identified as a man missing since March 9.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch (https://bit.ly/1iz8lEk ) reports that relatives identified the victim as 36-year-old Dale Leija of Barnhart. The body was discovered Monday in a ditch near the Jefferson County town.

Leija was last seen alive leaving a 7-Eleven store in Barnhart about 12:30 a.m. on March 9. Police say there were no obvious signs of foul play.
