BEAUMONT, Texas (AP) - Two brothers and their sister have been killed and a female friend of the siblings injured in a shooting over the weekend at a Beaumont home that police say was the result of a family disturbance.
Beaumont police Sgt. Rob Flores Jr. says 26-year-old Joe Frederick Hawkins was arrested Monday on an aggravated assault warrant related to the injured friend, a 21-year-old hospitalized in stable condition. Flores said additional charges are expected.
Police responding to the home Sunday found 33-year-old Anthony Ray Hawkins and 30-year-old Reshowna Hawkins dead in the yard. Their brother, 34-year-old Darrell Hawkins, later died at a hospital.
Hawkins was in Jefferson County jail on $1 million bond Monday. A jail official had no attorney information for him.
