PRATTVILLE, Ala. (AP) - Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley is gearing up to kick off the One Shot Turkey Hunt.
In a release, Bentley says the goal of the Governor’s Turkey Hunt, which begins Tuesday, is to showcase Alabama as a destination for business, industry and nature-based recreation activities. Bentley is scheduled to discuss the event’s details Monday afternoon at the Marriott Legends in Prattville.
Proceeds from the hunt will go to scholarships promoting wildlife and natural resource studies at Auburn University and the University of Alabama.
Bentley says about 75 people including elected officials, industry leaders and others are expected to participate in the hunt.
