WILLINGBORO, N.J. (AP) - Several charges have been filed against a southern New Jersey man who allegedly hit and seriously injured his brother with a car and then drove off.

Willingboro police tell the Courier-Post of Cherry Hill (https://on.cpsj.com/PG4AD9) that Lyle Person was charged with assault by auto, leaving the scene and other offenses following the incident, which occurred around 1:30 p.m. Saturday. He was arrested a few hours later.

The 33-year-old township resident’s bail was set $100,000. It wasn’t known Sunday if he had retained an attorney.

Person’s 31-year-old brother, Lee, was hospitalized in critical condition, but further details on his injuries were not disclosed.

Authorities say the hit-and-run occurred after the brothers had argued, but they have not said what the dispute entailed.
