TAYLORSVILLE, Ga. (AP) - Authorities say a Georgia state trooper has been treated and released from a hospital after an ambulance carrying him from a crash overturned in northwest Georgia.

Georgia State Patrol officials say a trooper tried stopping a truck driving on the wrong side of the road in Bartow County early Saturday morning and the driver tried fleeing the scene. The driver of the truck was arrested after a chase and crash in Taylorsville - about 20 miles southwest of Rome.

Authorities say the driver of the ambulance that was taking the injured trooper from the crash lost control on a curve and the ambulance overturned. State troopers say the officer wasn’t seriously injured.
