YPSILANTI, Mich. (AP) - Washtenaw County authorities say two sheriff’s deputies collided head-on while they were chasing a car theft suspect.

WDIV-TV says no one was hurt in the crash Saturday evening Ypsilanti.

The station says the deputies began chasing the suspect on foot, then continued in their cruisers.

Sheriff’s spokesman Derrick Jackson says three deputies were in the cars. He says the crash happened about 6 p.m. and says the man who was being chased was arrested later.
