LYNDONVILLE, Vt. (AP) - Vermont’s Lyndon State College is hosting a summit for veterans.

The event kicks off with a ceremony at 9 a.m. Saturday.

The summit is being held to bring together veterans, their families and veteran service organizations to build relationships and strengthen the regional support network.

The event will include sessions on post-traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injury, therapy dogs and other topics.

The Department of Veterans Affairs will also be hosting a one-day “stand down,” a community-based intervention program designed to help homeless veterans.

In addition, a mobile vet center from White River Junction’s Vet Center will be on campus.
