MILLRY, Ala. (AP) - A state-run lake is reopening to the public in southwest Alabama.

The Washington County fishing lake is reopening Saturday under a new manager. The 84-acre lake had been closed while officials were hiring a new person to run it.

The lake is about 2 miles west of Millry.

The Alabama Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries Division operates 23 public lakes in 20 counties statewide.
