GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (AP) - Authorities say two men walked away from a single-engine airplane crash near Grand Junction.

Garfield County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Walt Stowe tells the Grand Junction Daily Sentinel (https://bit.ly/1iaz8Gh ) the plane crashed in the Bookcliffs area just before 7 p.m. Friday, and one of the men hiked to a nearby well pad to call 911.

The newspaper reports the pilot was bloodied but declined medical attention. The other man did not appear to be injured.

The men, whose names have not been released, were the only people aboard the plane when it crashed.
