BOULDER, Colo. (AP) - Authorities say a pilot escaped injury when he crashed his small, single-engine plane at an airport in Broomfield.
Sara Farris, a spokeswoman for North Metro Fire, tells the Daily Camera (https://bit.ly/OgMiHm ) the pilot overshot the runway at Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport southeast of Boulder at about 10:30 a.m. Friday. The plane’s landing gear got caught in the dirt, causing the aircraft to flip over.
The pilot’s name has not been released.
