BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) - Authorities have released the identities of a Bozeman women and her teenage son who died in a crash on Interstate 15 south of Butte.

Silver Bow County officials tell the Bozeman Daily Chronicle (https://bit.ly/1iqf2sf) that 43-year-old Heather A. Ferguson and 15-year-old James Grady Dawkins died Friday morning.

Three others, including the 16-year-old driver, an 11-year-old girl and a 13-year old girl were hospitalized.

The Montana Highway Patrol says the driver was distracted by something in the sport-utility vehicle and drifted off the road. The driver overcorrected, causing the vehicle to roll.

Bozeman police Deputy Chief Rich McLane says Dawkins was a Bozeman High School student.

He says the high school will be open from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday for any students seeking grief counseling.
