RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - The Virginia Lottery says a Mega Millions ticket worth $3 million was sold in Herndon.

Nobody won Friday’s jackpot, but someone who bought a ticket at Elden Market & Deli matched the first five numbers and missed only the Mega Ball. Normally that would win $1 million, but the buyer spent an extra dollar to triple the prize.

The numbers drawn were 7-20-40-54-69 and Mega Ball 12.

The winner has 180 days from the drawing date to claim the prize.

Since no ticket matched all six numbers, the jackpot grows to an estimated $400 million for Tuesday’s drawing.
