WICHITA, Kan. (AP) - Clayton Custer poured in 25 points on 9-of-12 shooting to pace Blue Valley Northwest past Blue Valley North 73-46 on Saturday to claim the Kansas 6A boys state title.

The Huskies (23-2) held a 32-26 halftime advantage, and pulled away in the second half, outscoring Blue Valley North 41-20 in the last two quarters. They pushed their lead to 31 late in the fourth quarter.

Blue Valley Northwest shot 58.7 percent from the field (65.2 second half) and hit 9 of 18 3-pointers. They also scored 18 points off 13 Mustang turnovers and had a 10-0 advantage in fastbreak points. Ben Richardson hit a trio of 3-pointers to finish with 13 points and Vince Fritz added 11.



Jawan Anthony Emery led the Mustangs (20-5) with 16 points on 6-of-8 shooting, and Joseph Morrow was a perfect 4 of 4 to total 10 points (2 of 2 free throws).
