HOBBS, N.M. (AP) - Authorities say a woman has died after her home in Hobbs caught fire.

Hobbs police spokesman Mike Stone says firefighters and police responded to a residential fire at about 3 a.m. on North Dal Paso Street.

Stone says an elderly female resident was found dead.



He says the home was a complete loss.

Investigators say the cause of the fire is still being looked into.

Stone did not say what was the woman’s exact cause of death.
