Sailings of Alaska ferry Aurora canceled

JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) - Sailings of the Alaska state ferry Aurora have been canceled through much of Sunday because of mechanical problems.

KINY (https://is.gd/sKl6EF) says sailings have been canceled for Friday and Saturday as well.

Alaska Marine Highway officials say the vessel will resume its schedule for the 5:30 p.m. Sunday Whittier departure.

Officials say technicians are currently working on repairs.
