DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - Police in Des Moines say they have obtained a surveillance photo of a vehicle of interest in the investigation of a fatal hit-and-run accident.
Des Moines police on Friday released a grainy photograph of the mid-size car that may be connected to the Feb. 14 accident that killed 52-year-old Joan Haggar, who was struck as she crossed the street on foot. The vehicle would have been at the intersection around the time the accident took place.
The vehicle did not slow down or stop after the collision. Haggar died later at a nearby hospital.
Police are asking anyone who may know the identity of the driver or location of the vehicle to come forward with information.
