DERRY, N.H. (AP) - The fire department in Derry, N.H., says the careless disposal of ashes from a wood stove led to a house fire and the evacuation of a woman and three children.

Firefighters said the ashes were put outside of the house near the wooden steps of the house, near a wooden door.

No one was injured in the fire Thursday.
