VANCOUVER, Wash. (AP) - The Washington State Patrol says an 84-year-old Vancouver man who was driving the wrong way on Interstate 5 just before he was involved in a fatal crash has died.

A 6-year-old boy died in the Feb. 28 crash.

The Columbian reports (https://is.gd/Xzaag0 ) that Trooper Will Finn says Gage Musgrave died Tuesday night from health issues resulting from his injuries in the crash.

Troopers say Musgrave was driving a Toyota Avalon that was traveling south in the northbound lanes when it collided with a Nissan just south of Ridgefield.

Ericka Gorremans of La Center was driving the second car, with her 10-year-old son Clayton and 6-year-old Henry Babitzke of La Center. Henry died in the crash.

Gorremans remains hospitalized in fair condition. Her son’s condition was not available.

The state patrol has said Musgrave showed no signs of impairment and had been cooperating with detectives.
