Shreveport woman struck by van dies

SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) - Police say a Shreveport woman died after being struck by a van.

Police tell The Times (https://bit.ly/1gdqVwB ) 59-year-old Julia Bay was crossing the street on her electric scooter Wednesday when she was hit by a van driven by 46-year-old Charlie Patero of Shreveport.

Bay died at University Health Medical Center. Patero was not injured in the crash.

The accident remains under investigation.
