FREDERICK, Md. (AP) - The Frederick County Fire Marshal’s Office says it’s banning outdoor burning in the county until Friday morning.

The agency issued the ban Thursday, citing gusty winds, low humidity and dry tinder conditions.

The ban is in effect until 6 a.m. Friday. It applies to all outdoor burning, including recreational fires.

The Maryland Department of Natural Resources says it is not calling for a statewide burn ban.
