SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) - Authorities say several South Bend high school students suffered minor injuries in a collision involving a school bus and a minivan west of the city.

St. Joseph County police Lt. Matt Blank says the students had bumps and bruises in the Thursday morning crash, but no one was seriously hurt. South Bend schools spokeswoman Sue Coney says one student was taken to a hospital by ambulance at the request of a parent and another was picked up at the scene.

Coney says 16 students from Adams, Clay, Riley and Washington high schools on the bus at the time of the crash.

Blank says the driver of the minivan complained of chest pain.
