LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - The Little Rock School District says it’s investigating after an “inappropriate photo” on a teacher’s cell phone was transmitted onto iPads being used by students.
District spokeswoman Pamela Smith says the incident occurred March 5 at Forest Heights Middle School. Smith tells the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette (https://bit.ly/1i8eM0l ) that the teacher is not currently in the classroom as the investigation continues.
According to the district, the inappropriate photo appeared on eight students’ iPads after it was transmitted through a photo stream from the teacher’s personal cellphone. The district has not released the teacher’s name or described the inappropriate nature of the photo.
In a statement sent home to parents, the teacher apologized for the incident and said the photo was never intended to be viewed by anyone at the school.
