MINOT, N.D. (AP) - Zach Kellen scored 19 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to pace Fargo South in a 57-54 win over Bismarck in a North Dakota Class A boys state basketball quarterfinal on Thursday.

Kellen’s offensive production came on 9-of-13 shooting from the field for the Bruins (17-6). Colton Lloyd sunk 11 of 13 from the free-throw line and finished with 17 points. Noah Poss added 11 points.

The Demons (16-7) were led by Jon Tharaldsen with 16 points and 11 rebounds.

Tharaldsen’s jumper with 6:33 left put Bismarck up 43-42. But the advantage didn’t last as the Bruins came back to retake the lead late in the game.

James Iron Eyes added 15 points and Stanley Jones collected 10 rebounds.
