FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - State government has donated 125 refurbished computers to be used in new learning centers in four western Kentucky counties.

The centers, called e-Learning centers, are designed to give residents access to broadband-connected computers. They will be located in Ballard, Carlisle, Hickman and Fulton counties.

The computers were donated as part of a partnership between the state’s Office of Broadband Outreach and Development and Murray State University’s regional outreach office

The state office says offering access to broadband makes it easier for citizens to look for jobs, take online classes, file taxes and other activities.

The centers should be open by May.
