COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - First-team Associated Press All-Ohioan Jenna Burdette tied a Division IV semifinal record with 38 points, leading Reedsville Eastern past defending champion Fort Loramie 68-59 Thursday night.

The top-ranked Eagles (26-1) meet Zanesville Rosecrans (27-1), a 55-40 winner over Holgate, in the state final on Saturday.

Eastern missed its first 10 3-pointers until Burdette made one in front of her team’s bench late, then hit a driving layup for a 43-35 lead after three quarters.

She hit 6 of 6 free throws and had an assist in the final 85 seconds.

Darian Rose, who was first team and shared player of the year honors with Burdette, had 26 points and 12 rebounds for ninth-ranked Fort Loramie (26-3).
