NEW YORK (AP) - Authorities say a temporary shelter is housing over 5 dozen people displaced after the East Harlem explosion.

The Red Cross has opened the shelter in cooperation with the Salvation Army.

City officials say those housed at the facility on East 125th Street include 14 families with children.

The city’s Office of Emergency Management has set up a resident service center at the shelter.

The departments represented there include mental health, aging, small business services, buildings, housing and homeless services.
