TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Tulsa’s mayor is scheduled to deliver a keynote address about the city’s economic future this week.
Mayor Dewey Bartlett Jr. is to speak Wednesday to the Greater Tulsa Association of Realtors.
Bartlett’s speech is to focus on how the city can continue to grow economically through a commitment to economic development and other factors.
After winning a second term as mayor in November, Bartlett has had to deal with various budget issues at City Hall, including navigating what could be a $10 million revenue shortfall and the possibility of layoffs to make economic ends meet.
City department heads have already been instructed to find efficiencies in an effort to address budget issues.
