CASTAIC, Calif. (AP) - The California Highway Patrol has canceled a traffic alert triggered by a wreck on Interstate 5 in the Castaic area north of Los Angeles

The CHP says all lanes reopened around 10 a.m., about five hours after the accident involving an empty milk tanker.

The incident caused a massive backup of trucks and cars headed north from Los Angeles to the San Joaquin Valley.
