HURON, S.D. (AP) - One of the two eastern South Dakota men accused of staging an armed robbery at a convenience store has pleaded not guilty.
KOKK-AM in Huron reports that 27-year-old Sydney Malone has pleaded not guilty to a felony grand theft charge.
The Huron man was arrested Feb. 12.
The prosecutor in Beadle County has said the investigation into the robbery found that Malone and 26-year-old Donnell Williams worked together to take more than $3,000 from the Northstar Corner Pantry in late January.
Malone’s trial has been schedule for late June.
Williams, of Carvour, faces felony grand theft and commission of felony while armed charges. He has a hearing scheduled for April 8.
