Solar project to be set up at Burlington airport

BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - A $1.5 million solar project is coming to Burlington International Airport.

The airport will be installing solar equipment on top of its parking garage.

WCAX-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1fnYIaR) the top deck is currently empty and the Burlington Electric Department will be leasing the space for $20,000 a year.

The project will pump energy back into the grid.
