HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (AP) - Work on Arkansas Highway 70 will require lane closures in Garland and Saline counties between Hot Springs and Interstate 30.
The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department says crews will be performing drilling and sampling in preparation for widening Highway 70 and the closures will be weekdays - starting Tuesday and continuing through Thursday, March 20 between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., weather permitting
Traffic will be controlled using cones and flaggers.
Eastbound lanes will be the first to be closed - from just east of the Hot Springs Bypass to I-30. Once drilling and sampling is complete on the eastbound lane, crews will perform work on the westbound lane, beginning at I-30 and moving westward toward Hot Springs.
