EUGENE, Ore. (AP) - The fire department says a woman was trapped for a time in an overnight house fire in Eugene but made it out on her own with injuries.

Bystanders found a ladder and rescued another women trapped by the fire on the second floor.

The Eugene-Springfield Fire Department says three families were displaced by the fire. It started on the front porch, blocking the exits for three apartments in the house.
