NEW YORK (AP) - Fire officials say one person was killed in an overnight fire at a hi-rise building in the Chelsea district of Manhattan.

The fire was confined to a third floor apartment of the 21-story building.

WABC-TV (https://bit.ly/1iuRO2u ) says the building’s superintendent identified the victim as 82-year-old Gloria Hillman. He says she lived in the apartment with her 23-year-old grandson who got out safely.

No other injuries were reported.

A fire department spokesman says firefighters responded to 315 Seventh Avenue at 4:30 a.m. Tuesday.

According to WABC, a fire truck on its way to the blaze collided with another vehicle at 7th Avenue and West 31st Streets. Two firefighters were taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
