Victim of snowmobile crash was firefighter

WHEATON, Wis. (AP) - Authorities say a 20-year-old man killed in a snowmobile crash in northwestern Wisconsin was a firefighter.

Brandon Semingson was traveling with a group of three others when he lost control of his snowmobile and crashed into a tree in the Chippewa County community of Wheaton Friday night. WQOW-TV (https://bit.ly/1cpTID8 ) reports Semingson was a member of the Eleva Fire Department.

Authorities say speed and the driver’s unfamiliarity with the trail contributed to the crash.
