MARIETTA, Ga. (AP) - Police in suburban Atlanta say a man who was hit by a car in early February has died of his injuries.
Authorities said in a release Monday that 47-year-old Wilbur Butts was hit while we was trying to cross Old Bells Ferry Road in Marietta on Feb. 7. Police say Butts wasn’t in a crosswalk when the accident happened.
The man was taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital and was pronounced dead on Wednesday.
Police say charges aren’t expected to be filed against the driver.
