GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) - Police in Grand Forks say they arrested a 19-year-old man on charges of burglary, sexual assault and minor consumption of alcohol after a woman awoke to find him in her apartment.
Officers were called to the building at about 3 a.m. Monday after the woman reported a burglary. She told police that she awoke to find the man in her apartment trying to pull down her underwear. She was able to run out and call police.
Police arrived and determined that the suspect had been staying in the apartment below the victim. They arrested Jeremiah Begay, a transient construction worker from Pinon, Ariz., and booked him at the Grand Forks County Jail.
