GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) - Glendale police say a convenience store employee is dead after being shot by a customer early Monday morning.

Details are sketchy but police say the 26-year-old employee was shot at or near the store’s doorway following an altercation with the unidentified customer.

According to police, the employee had confronted a man as he left the store after pumping gas into his vehicle and going into the store.



The store is in the area of 99th and Glendale avenues in the vicinity of the Loop 101 freeway.
