FRISCO, Colo. (AP) - A 22-year-old Denver man has died after hitting a tree while snowboarding on Copper Mountain.

The Summit County coroner’s office identified the man as Jonathan Belle.

A news release from the office says Belle was snowboarding on a beginner trail when he hit a tree at about 9:30 a.m. Monday.



It says Belle was not wearing a helmet.

The incident remains under investigation.
