MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) - Two skiers who spent a night lost north of Missoula have been rescued.

The Missoulian reports (https://bit.ly/1fywoUl ) that rescuers found the two about 10:30 a.m. Saturday and that they are alive and safe.

The Missoula County Sheriff’s Office says one has been taken to a hospital.



Authorities say the two skied off a ridge and became separated from a friend while traversing the backside of Montana Snowbowl on Friday afternoon.

Authorities say cellphone contact was lost about 10:30 p.m. Friday but the skiers made contact again at about 8:15 a.m. Saturday.

Searchers had already arrived in the area at about 3:30 a.m. to start looking.
