ASTORIA, Ore. (AP) - The Oregon State Police is asking the public to help identify the driver who fled a two-vehicle serious injury traffic crash just east of Astoria.

Investigators say a 2002 Dodge Neon with three occupants was traveling on Highway 30 Friday when a gray 1996 Honda Passport crossed the centerline and collided head-on with the Dodge Neon.

The collision occurred at about 9:20 p.m. The driver of the Honda Passport fled the scene on foot.

The other vehicle’s driver, 21-year-old Abraham Korpoh, was transported by LifeFlight to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center with critical injuries. Two female passengers were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators don’t know whether the driver who fled is male or female. They say he or she may have been injured in the crash.
