OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The National Weather Service in Norman says freezing rain is expected to first develop in northern Oklahoma and then wintery weather is to spread across most of the state.

The freezing rain is expected to start Saturday night, first in the north and then in central Oklahoma.

During the day Sunday, the precipitation is expected to turn to sleet and then snow before moving out of the state.

Officials caution that driving will become hazardous in the affected area. Forecast high winds on Sunday are expected to create wind chills below zero.
