HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) - Police in Hunstville have arrested three teenage girls they say broke into a cell phone store.
Local media reports say officers were called to the cell phone store just before 2 a.m. Sunday. An employee at a hotel across the street called police after spotting three people with towels on their heads kicking in the glass in the store’s front door.
Responding officers saw three girls run from the store. All three were caught in the parking lot. One girl was treated at the scene for a cut on her foot suffered when the glass in the door broke.
Police did not release the names of the girls who are charged with third-degree burglary. They are aged 14, 15 and 16 years old.
The investigation is ongoing.
