RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - Visitors to the State Capitol can get a behind-the-scenes look at the historic building just two times a year, including once in February.

The tours beginning Saturday include visits to the governor’s suite, the old treasurer’s vault, the outdoor porticos and some of the attic space. The one-hour walking tour takes an in-depth look at the history and architecture of the building.

The tours are available by reservation only and will be offered at 10 a.m. on Feb. 1 and 1 p.m. April 26. Tickets are $15 each. Participants must be age 10 or older and feel comfortable walking up stairs and in confined spaces.
